If you’ve been the victim of a crime, such as domestic violence or sexual assault, and you’re working within the legal system (with law enforcement officers or the courts), you have specific rights in the state of Colorado. Colorado has a Constitutional amendment called the Victims’ Rights Act, and you can find more information about that here. This law can be overwhelming, and DOVE advocates are available to help explain your VRA rights. 

DOVE has partnerships with many local community resources, such as ASL interpreting agencies, domestic violence shelters, culturally-specific victim service agencies, and pro bono legal programs. If you’re looking for a specific resource, please don’t hesitate to call or email us!
